Pilates for pregnancy
Pilates is recommended for during and after pregnancy because toned abdominal and back muscles support a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery and recovery.
Pilates can easily adapt for pregnancy although it is best to check with your medical adviser on whether Pilates would be suitable for you. It is also advisable to get assistance initially with a Pilates instructor to ensure that the movements are done correctly. For example, your center of gravity will shift once your baby grows and there are certain exercises that cannot be done during the different stages of the pregnancy.
